20 Hot Tips to Succeed as a Blogger – Tip 16: Monitor, Track and Analyze.
If, you know where you are coming from and where you are, you’ll probably be able to know if you are on the right path to where you are going. Likewise, you’ll be able to know the source of whatever bottleneck it is, you’re encountering, and of course when the sources of a problem is know the solution is not far away.
Today, I want to really stress the important of tracking, monitoring and analyzing every aspect of your blogging activities. One of the greatest mistakes any blogger can make is not having a way to monitor and analyze the result of his/her effort on his/her blogs.
If you ask most of the top bloggers, they’ll tell you that, they were able to get their rhythms, know what works for their blogs and understand their readers/visitors by monitoring, tracking and analyzing each of the things they’ve experimented with.
The greatest feedback you can ever get is being able to see; how reader/visitors interact with your blog, what they do on your blog, how each ad is performing compare to the others, which element is posing a bottleneck in your blogs’ load time etc.
The ability to see each and many of these factors in effect and know the way they are impacting on your blog; either positively or negatively, is the greatest guide you can ever get, its very important in improving your blog, because you don’t only get what readers are saying, you also see what they are actually doing and the impart or both internal and external factors on your blog.
Generally, you need to monitor what effect or result everything you’ve experimented and you are experimenting with, has on both on your blog layout/outlook, readers/visitors, advertisers and your revenue.
If you look around the Internet you’ll see how crucial the idea I’m sharing with you has become. Almost every service has integrated a kind of tracking or the other, in their services. Any where you see anything that gives you a certain stats or the other, you should know that they are applying the idea I’m talking about here. You should have notice this even on Social Media sites, many of them have a way to show; people that view your profile, a log of your friends’ activities and yours on the site, etc
