20 Hot Tips to Succeed as a Blogger – Tip 17: Research! Research!! Research!!!
The introduction of an earlier part of this series just about introduce and corroborate the need for the topic of this part; Research!
I have said it here time without number, even show you some stats in some earlier part of this post series, that the Blogopshere is evolving at the speed of light and to fit in, you to also have keep pace with the speed. How? Research!
The Need for RESEARCH!
Apart from the above, you can’t do without research in writing your blog post, no matter how much you know on your topic, it wouldn’t be complete without adding related contents from other sources which you only get by Researching. Readers love such, it gives then the opportunity to get a bigger picture on the topic just from reading your blog and also maybe reading every other that you made reference to. At least that way it saves them the pain of having to be the one to go out searching for more information on those ideas you have also raise within your articles that you probably couldn’t expand on, maybe because they are beyond the scope of what you’re talking about.
Prior to now, each time I read a very thoughtful post that also make reference to some highly related and insightful posts written by other bloggers, I used to wonder how come those bloggers manage to get to know about such highly related and useful contents. Not until I started applying the idea of making research on the top of a blog post I’m writing or I want to write about, that I understood the answer. It’s really very productive; it can take your articles to another level.
Benefit of Researching as Blogger
Researching as a blogger also help you get more than an overheard knowledge, about latest ideas, innovations and trends. It isn’t enough to just know a about an ideas, it’s best if you can make a meaning of it and how you can profit from it. Even if you think you’ll not be working with it, you’ll do well taking some little time to make a sense of it. You never can tell when that deep knowledge would become an asset.
The Ghost of RESEARCH!
Hey! I thought I really need to make it clear at this point that when I said research, I’m not saying you should become an Internet Surveyor or Analyst. Mind your passion, your interest and of course your business. I’m aware that many people (perhaps you also) dread the word; RESEARCH!
They’ll just straightly perceive a guy up late, who’s been right up in front of his MAC all day long, with two big encyclopedias right on his desk and several empty cans of coke roundabout his table. Nah! What I’m talking about can be just be simply Googling a keyword, read one of two articles and bam! Your research is completed. Easy, isn’t it? Yes of course it is!

I kinda agree 90% with you on that. Without ample research, a blog post might just lose it’s meaning. Research can be quite tasking but the well-written blog post as a result can be very rewarding.
Adding related content to my blog posts is something that I’ve come to rely on over the past few months. I really helps especially when I have got time to delve into the topic 100%.
You are right.
